Managing Money (www.managing-money.org) is a financial literacy clearinghouse featuring Consumer Action’s award-winning multilingual educational materials, headline news on personal finance topics and recommended publications created by other organizations and government agencies. The materials focus on financial services, sound financial planning and debt management, saving for emergencies and retirement and how to avoid frauds and scams.Take MoneyWi$e interactive classes online. Consumer Action and Capital One, long-time partners in the MoneyWi$e financial literacy project, have created an online interactive course to help you manage your money.
Less driving may mean insurance savings. As the price of gasoline tops $4 a gallon nationwide, the Consumer Federation of America (CFA) has released a consumer alert based on its analysis showing that consumers who are driving less could save an average of 5%- 15% on their automobile insurance rates—about $47 to $142.

Insurance Issue [Fall 2008] In the Fall 2008 issue, Consumer Action focuses on insurance. The results of an online poll reveal details about consumers and insurance coverage, including the downsides to filing a claim.
